Vintage Ship DIY!

I hope you all are having a lovely week! Lots of wonderful things are happening here..a very close friend of ours is getting married in Dubai end of this year and we are going! I am so excited about the wedding and also visiting Dubai and guess what after Dubai we are off to France and Italy for our extremely delayed honeymoon! 5 years too late but then again better late than never!!!
More on that later...for now I want to show you the little ship that I built.

For a long time I have been gazing longingly at vintage ships at nautical themed window dressings.

So here's how it went...each piece was separately collected and then put together. A piece of driftwood, bamboo sticks, twine and burlap.

The difficult part was to stick the bamboo into the wooden base and then making it stand upright was another challenge.

In the end, the result is worth all the effort!

What do you think?

Added one of my clay hearts as embellishment.

My DIY shabby chic French Nordic Vintage ship!

So there's my faux vintage ship on my real vintage chippy ladder.

I feel like jumping into my little ship and sailing off to France now!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
