Legheads make replacement furniture legs that lets you easily swap out the plain legs of your couch, sideboard, TV table or bed with some bright funky coloured legs to make any piece of furniture really standout!
The replacement legs fit IKEA, Freedom, Fantastic Furniture, Ashley, Wayfair, Bloomingdales or Bob’s, Metric or Imperial. Their M8, 8mm hangar bolt or universal plate allows you to add new legs to almost any piece of furniture! You can mix and match to suit your personal taste and décor! How cool is that!
Or like me, you too could DIY and create a whole new piece of furniture with just a few things that you might have lying around at home. And might I add....under an hour! #winning!I recently bought a tea set for my daughter Elie and I have been looking around for a small stool or ottoman for her to use as a tea party table. Something light, mobile and versatile so that after she was done and bored with her tea party set, it could be used in any other room as a footstool or ottoman. So when I received the replacement legs from Legheads, I decided to DIY a tea party table for Elie.
How To Make a Tea Party Table with Replacement Legs from Legheads? Well here's how to...
- Measure your old or new thick wooden chopping board or cheese board into quarters and with a sharpie mark where your M8 universal plates are going to be drilled in
- Drill pilot holes for the screws and one main hole in the centre for the replacement leg to be fitted in
- Screw and afix all four M8 plates in and then attach the legs securely - You will need to hire a little muscle for this part! Lucky I have a handy husband!
The hard part is done!

- Next, lay your chosen fabric on a flat surface - right side down. I chose a soft, plush and wooly white sheepskin to cover the tea table. You can choose faux fur, felt, leather, cotton, linen, patterned or block coloured - anything that takes your fancy!
- Lay the thick sponge cut in a round shape directly on top of the fabric
- Lay your chopping board with legs attached on the round sponge (leg side up!)
- Attach the fabric tightly and neatly to the chopping board with staples and hey presto...you're done!
Now for the fun part! Style your ottoman in the bedroom or lounge as a plush and cushy foot stool, side table or like me as a tea party table for your tea connoisseur toddler! Do you like it?
Legheads ship to France, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK, USA and Australia and for just $39.95, it's a fun, easy and inexpensive way to create something new, refresh existing furniture or upcycle a vintage piece!
Till next time... why not funkify your furniture with Legheads!

Elie absolutely adores her tea party table! It's so light and easy to move around from her bedroom to the playroom or even our kitchen/dining room so that I can keep an eye on her while I cook and she plays. The furniture legs are available in four different colours to complement your décor and have gray felt furniture pads and unlike stick-on floor protectors these furniture pads are non-slip.

A big thank you to my dearest friend and talented photographer Sumaiya Qureshi for taking photographs of Elie's room and enduring Elie's tea making skills!
And a huge thank you to all of you for supporting the brands that support this blog.
