It is the colour of everything that is sweet and delicate. The colour of cotton candy and happiness, cute little girls and puppy dog tails. It is the colour of femininity, romance, adoration and sensitivity. But it can be also the colour of strength and perseverance. The colour of never ever giving up and the colour of inner beauty amidst infinite hardships and adverse situations.
October, is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it is an opportunity for us to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease. One way or another, every one of us has been touched in some form by this disease through family, friends, acquaintances, work colleagues and neighbours. To celebrate all those who have fought and won, and remember those who have forever left a lasting impression in our lives, pink is the colour of survival, loss, hope and strength.
