DECASO is an ultra-curated selection of exceptional antique and designer furniture offered by the world's most respected dealers. For the design challenge the brief was to pick a number of bucket list items from DECASO's vast collection and put together a design mood board. I decided to curate a modern Scandinavian living space with a subtle exotic slant.
The colour palette I chose was a variation of blush tones and muted pastels which is very on trend and of course natural, organic and classic materials that are always timeless in any design. My design board started with first picking out my focal point which are a gorgeous pair of Mexican lounge chairs with leather webbing. They add an exotic luxe vibe to what would otherwise be just a pretty living room. The Beni Ourain berber carpet was a no-brainer. They are so gorgeous with their free expressive forms, that each one of these rare pieces look and feel like unique works of art. The pretty Capiz star shaped pendant lights add the quintessential 'hygge' to the modern Scandinavian living room. The Jakobsson brass lamp complements the neutral gray Harvey Probber sofa and lastly the Mexican Serape bolster pillows add that unusual pop of colour to the room. The artwork that I chose for my living room was the "palm helix" diptych by Christine Ralphs and the Variazoini Plate that adds that last finishing touch to complete the overall design scheme.
